Sunbeams is the preschool connected to Ballymoney Independent Christian School – a warm, nurturing environment set in the countryside of Ballymoney. When they approached me, they were using a logo that was detailed and difficult to scale or reproduce clearly across different materials.
The brief was to create something much simpler, bolder, and more versatile – while still capturing the joy and values at the heart of Sunbeams.
The new design uses a smiling sun rising behind two green fields, which also subtly form the shape of an open Bible – a nod to the preschool’s Christian foundations. The text features friendly, rounded lettering with a slight curve, tying in with the sunrise icon. The result is warm, welcoming, and playful, just like the preschool itself.
The new logo works well across everything from uniforms and signage to social media and printed materials – making it far easier for the team to use consistently while keeping things cheerful and on-brand.
